*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a progressive practice, able to offer the client current up-to-date treatment options including ultrasound (AFAST/TFAST and full abdominal ultrasound). Being an independent privately owned gives us flexibility in our treatment approaches for our friendly and committed client base. The perfect candidate will be able to work independently but love working as part of a team, sharing the day?s successes and activities in order to maintain a high level of cohesiveness with the other team members. Of course a love of cats and cat medicine is required! Feline-related CE is encouraged and supported. Discounted own pet care. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. *Responsibilities* * exam room nursing * Laboratory analysis * Dentistry including radiology * Diagnostic imaging - radiology and ultrasound * Treatment procedures and assisting medical procedures. * Veterinary nursing for in hospital patients * All aspects of surgical preparation and monitoring * Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments. * Emphasis on client education. * Shared reception duties *Requirements* * Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred, but new graduates will be considered, with training and support provided to develop your skills. * Familiarity with laboratory procedures, anesthesia and treatment procedures is required. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. * A passion for animal care and welfare is essential * Strong customer service skills. * Degree in veterinary technology is required, or in lieu, prior comprehensive on site job training.
