We are seeking an experienced, dependable and motivated Assistant Store Manager to help lead our retail operation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, directing staff, solving day-to-day problems and maintaining a high standard of customer service while working alongside the team. Why Join Ultimate Pool Service · Competitive compensation of $24.00-$28.00/hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications · Four weeks of vacation · Company health benefits plan with no waiting period; 50% of the premium paid by Ultimate Pool Service · Full-time, permanent, year-round employment · Comprehensive paid training in pool and spa products, water chemistry, equipment and operating procedures · Employee discounts on pool and spa products · Opportunity to further develop your management career and take on increased responsibility within the company · Work with an established, locally owned, award-winning company and experienced team What You'll Be Responsible For · Lead day-to-day retail store operations and help ensure the store runs efficiently, professionally and safely · Supervise, coach and provide clear direction to retail staff throughout their shifts · Create, maintain and manage employee schedules; coordinate coverage and schedule changes based on business needs · Train and onboard new retail employees and reinforce store procedures and customer service standards · Identify and resolve day-to-day staffing, operational and customer-service issues, escalating when appropriate · Deliver knowledgeable customer service, assist with product selection, complete sales and resolve customer concerns · Perform computerized pool and spa water testing, explain results and recommend appropriate products and treatments · Oversee online order processing and fulfilment, including product availability, picking, packing, pickup and shipping coordination · Maintain inventory availability, merchandising, replenishment and organized retail and warehouse areas · Support administrative, customer follow-up and other operational responsibilities as required What We're Looking For · Previous supervisory, team-lead or management experience is required · Previous retail, customer service or sales experience · Demonstrated ability to lead staff, provide direction and hold team members accountable to standards · Strong organizational, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills · Experience or confidence creating and managing employee schedules and staffing coverage · Ability to prioritize and remain effective in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment · Reliable, punctual and accountable, with a willingness to take ownership and initiative · Comfort learning technical information and communicating it clearly to customers and staff Pool & Spa Industry Experience *Previous swimming pool or spa industry experience is highly valued and will be considered a strong asset; however, it is not required. *We provide comprehensive training in pool and spa products, water chemistry, equipment and our operating procedures. Additional Assets · Experience with online order fulfilment, shipping or e-commerce · Cash handling and point-of-sale experience · Inventory, merchandising or warehouse experience Schedule & Physical Requirements *This is a year-round position in a seasonal business. *Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during our spring and summer peak season and must have flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends based on business needs.
