Job Description Job Description As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems within a defined scope. In this semi-remote position, you will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, which will include onsite startup / commissioning at customer facilities, travelling various sites in Canada. This role requires expertise in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC software and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and program control systems using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs. Implement and configure VFDs for various applications. Integrate and troubleshoot robotics systems to enhance production efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve automation issues. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of control systems and processes. Provide onsite technical support and training to maintenance and production staff. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Qualifications: Technologist or Engineering Degree with a focus on Industrial Automation. Minimum of 10 years of experience in control systems engineering within the food and beverage industries, oil and gas industries and water/wastewater systems. Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs such as adder logic, function block, structure text and sequential function charts. Strong knowledge of VFDs and their applications in industrial settings. Knowledge in networking and server systems. Strong skill-set withing Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server and Windows 11. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems.
