Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Hot. Wet/damp. Noisy. Dusty. All weather conditions. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment. Supervise crew members. Schedule materials, tools and personnel. Remove litter and garbage. Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees. Move tools, equipment and other materials. Monitor quality and production levels. Monitor safety conditions. Monitor and inspect work. Manage landscaping projects. Maintain progress and other reports. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects . Clean machines and immediate work areas. Cart and spread topsoil and other materials. Assist with landscape constructions. Identify current and prospective staffing requirements. Manage staff and assign duties. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Train other workers. Document work completed. Supervisory Experience. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Leading/instructing individuals.
