Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Construction. Independently owned business. Residential. Restoration. Various locations. Tasks: Prepare production and other reports. Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Train or arrange for training. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Leading/instructing individuals. Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units. Establish work schedules. Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems. Supervisory Experience. Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required. Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools. Supervision: Bricklayers. Cement finishers. 5-10 people. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure.
