JM Wellness Services is seeking a creative, compassionate, and experienced Art Therapist to join our team and provide individualized art therapy services to children and teenagers. *Responsibilities:* * Provide individualized art therapy sessions to children and teenagers based on their individual needs and goals. * Develop engaging, age-appropriate, and individualized art-based activities. * Use creative expression to support communication, emotional expression, social skills, self-regulation, and overall development. * Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA), collaborating on client goals, treatment planning, and progress. * Communicate regularly with the RBA regarding client progress, observations, and recommendations. * Collaborate with caregivers and other members of the client?s multidisciplinary team. * Maintain accurate and timely session documentation and progress notes. * Adapt activities and approaches to meet each client?s developmental and individual needs. *Qualifications:* * Education and training in Art Therapy or a related field. * Experience working with children and teenagers. * Experience working with children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered an asset. * Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Professional registration/certification, where applicable. * Vulnerable Sector Check required.
