Construction Labourer (Experienced / Skilled) *Metropol Inc.* Duties & Responsibilities * Perform regular cleaning of designated work areas, including sweeping, mopping, dust removal, and disposal of debris. * Maintain clean and organized corridors, work zones, and common areas throughout the work shift. * Remove garbage, construction waste, and packaging materials and transport them to designated disposal areas. * Clean and prepare flooring areas for installation teams, ensuring surfaces are clear and ready for work. * Set up and remove temporary floor protection, coverings, and barriers as required. * Keep pathways, entrances, and high-traffic zones free from obstacles and hazards. * Organize materials, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. * Support installers by delivering materials and assisting with basic site preparation tasks. * Assist with light demolition or removal of old flooring and underlayment when required. * Secure tools, materials, and equipment at the end of each shift. * Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report unsafe conditions immediately. * Perform additional labour or cleaning duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor. Working Conditions * Work is performed on active construction sites with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures. * Physically demanding role requiring lifting, carrying, bending, and repetitive movements. * Work involves extended periods of standing and walking throughout the site. * Requires strict adherence to health and safety regulations and proper use of PPE. * Frequent coordination with installers, supervisors, and other construction personnel. Candidate Requirements This position is intended for experienced construction labourers or skilled labourers who are familiar with working on active construction sites. Candidates should have prior experience performing general site duties, supporting installation teams, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and handling construction materials and tools.
