he IT Manager for Retail Operations will oversee the technology infrastructure and systems that support our retail business in Canada. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless operations, enhancing customer experience, and driving efficiency through innovative IT solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT management within the retail sector, demonstrating leadership skills to manage a team of IT professionals while collaborating with various departments to align technology initiatives with business goals.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the IT department to ensure effective delivery of services and support for retail operations.Develop and implement strategic plans for technology infrastructure that align with business objectives.Oversee system upgrades, installations, and maintenance of hardware/software used in retail operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery at optimal costs.Ensure data security protocols are implemented effectively across all systems used in retail operations.Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements or new tools that can benefit the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.5+ years of experience in IT management roles within the retail industry or similar environments.Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception through completion on time and within budget.Strong understanding of network architecture, database management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and e-commerce platforms.Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams effectively while fostering collaboration across departments.Strong analytical problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities.
