*Nova Hotels* is a Canadian, family-owned and operated hotel group with 13 full and limited-service hotels across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories. We are looking for an organized and guest-focused *Reservations Supervisor* to support our team at *Chateau Nova Yellowknife* (4571- 48 Street Yellowknife, NWT X1A 0E2). The Reservations Supervisor coordinates the day-to-day work of the reservations team, helps ensure bookings are handled accurately and efficiently, and works closely with other hotel departments to provide a smooth experience for our guests. *Responsibilities* * Coordinate, assign and review the work of reservations staff. * Establish work schedules and procedures and organize daily reservations activities. * Monitor reservations for accuracy and ensure guest requests and booking details are properly recorded. * Assist employees with complex reservations, guest concerns and operational issues. * Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, Housekeeping and other hotel departments regarding reservations, room requirements and guest needs. * Train employees in reservation procedures, hotel policies, guest service standards and use of reservation systems. * Resolve work-related problems and escalate issues when appropriate. * Prepare and maintain reservation records, reports and other operational information. * Help ensure the smooth operation of reservation and property-management systems and report system or equipment issues. * Assist with individual and group reservations as required and perform reservation duties during busy periods. * Support the onboarding and training of new reservations employees. *Qualifications* * Completion of secondary school is required. * Previous experience working in hotel reservations, front desk, guest services or a similar accommodation services position is required. * Related college coursework in hospitality, tourism or accommodation services is an asset. * Experience coordinating or supervising employees is preferred. * Strong knowledge of reservation systems, property-management systems and general computer applications. * Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. * Good organization, accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to resolve guest and employee concerns professionally. * Ability to prioritize work and coordinate activities with multiple hotel departments. * Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational requirements, including weekends and holidays when required. *Employment Type:* * Permanent, Full time * 30-40 hours per week depending upon business needs * Wage: $23.56 per hour * NOC: 62022 *Nova Perks:* In addition to competitive wages, we offer: * Meal program * Staff rates at any of our locations throughout NWT, Saskatchewan and Alberta. * Friends & Family Rates at any of our locations * Extended Health Benefits for full time employees * Employee Discounts at the F&B Outlets We thank all applicants for their interest in Nova Hotels.
