*Overview* We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our Oak Bay team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a talent for grooming pets to look and feel their best. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where customer service and animal care are our top priorities. The Pet Groomer will be responsible for providing professional grooming services, ensuring the comfort and safety of each pet, and delivering excellent customer experiences. This is a commission based position. Can work out a daily rate or 50/50 split based on experience and desire from candidate. *Duties* * Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to prepare them for grooming * Trimming fur, clipping nails, cleaning ears, and performing breed-specific cuts * Maintaining a clean and sanitized grooming station * Handling pets with care, patience, and compassion * Communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions * Managing appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery * Assisting with heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving large or heavy pets or equipment * Providing excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally *Experience* * Prior experience in pet grooming or a related field is required; training can be provided for the right candidate * Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients and pet owners * Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process * Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks associated with handling larger pets or equipment * A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being Join our team if you are dedicated to providing exceptional pet care and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where your skills make a difference.
