Job Description: Position Overview * *Title:* Peer Support Worker * *Hours:* part-time positions, 20 hours (Afternoons) * *Reports to:* Manager of Programs & Services · *Divisions:* Programs & Services and the entire organization · *Employment Type: *Temporary contract until March 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Summary Peer Support Workers use their own lived experience with mental health, substance use, and/or homelessness to: * Build trust with clients * Provide emotional support, advocacy, and system navigation * Work in a *non-judgmental, trauma-informed, person-centered* way * Collaborate with HART Hub staff, modeling recovery and fostering hope * Follow agency procedures and maintain professional boundaries Education * High school diploma * Certificate in Peer Support, Mental Health, Addiction Recovery, or related field (or willingness to obtain) * Peer support worker certification preferred. * OR lived experience with demonstrated recovery and wellness Knowledge & Experience * Understanding of homelessness, addiction, mental health, poverty * Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed care * Awareness of local community supports * Experience supporting others or self in recovery/crisis Skills & Qualities * Empathy, compassion, active listening * Non-judgmental and inclusive approach * De-escalation skills * Good verbal communication * Professional boundaries/confidentiality * Ability to support diverse populations Other Requirements * Must be 18+ * First Aid/CPR and Mental Health First Aid preferred * Naloxone training preferred * Office 365 experience preferred Duties & Responsibilities * Provide one-on-one and group support * Review client info, interview, assess needs and strengths * Help clients develop action plans, navigate systems, access resources * Follow agency policies and safety standards * Promote dignity, empowerment, and choice * Collaborate with staff and management * Maintain records and communication * Support team diversity and cooperation * Communicate clearly to individuals/groups * Oversee assigned areas for safety and security Job Type: Part-time Work Location: In person Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour Work Location: In person Location Windsor , ON Work location On site Salary $ 20.00 to $ 21.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Part time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10228718164 Various locations Windsor, ON
