*Part-Time Bookkeeper* *About the Role* A well-established general contractor specializing in commercial construction and renovation is seeking a *motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper* to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting the company?s day-to-day accounting needs. *Key Duties & Responsibilities* * Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions using a customized accounting program * Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations * Maintain accurate and organized financial records * Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets * Communicate effectively with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks * Assist with year-end and tax-related requirements as needed * Ensure bookkeeping practices are consistent with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements * Stay current with bookkeeping best practices and relevant accounting regulations * Provide general administrative and accounting support as required *Qualifications & Skills* * Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field * Minimum *2 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience* * Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices * Experience working with accounting software; experience with customized accounting programs is an asset * Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities * Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines * Professional, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment * Familiarity with tax preparation and financial statement preparation is considered an asset * Experience in the *construction industry* is an asset *What We?re Looking For* We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys keeping things organized, and can be relied upon to maintain accurate financial records.
