early childhood educator (ECE) assistant

*Position Title:* Early Childhood Educator Assistant *Hours:* Permanent part time, Hours will vary between 10-15 hours per week *Starting Date: *Sept 8, 2026 *Rate of Pay*: $25.17/hour per BCGEU Collective Agreement, Grid Level 6 *The after-school program will run from September until the end of June each year. Duties and Responsibilities: * We are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic person who will provide assistance in an after-school program In an elementary school setting. Duties include providing a safe, nurturing, atmosphere for kindergarten and/or school-age children, interacting with and supervising children and communicating with parents. *Qualifications: * *Education:* a responsible adult, minimum 19 years of age with 20 hours duration of Child Development, Guidance, Health and Safety or Nutrition courses. *Experience:* Previous work experience in a similar environment is required. *Skills:* Well developed oral and written communication, good organization and time management skills. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate developmental activities.
