Blueridge OMS is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Practice with three offices located in Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton. Our dedicated team provides excellent care to the patients in the communities from Hamilton to Mississauga. We are currently seeking a Nurse to join our practice. As a Nurse, you will be working alongside an anesthesiologist and/or an oral maxillofacial surgeon for treatment of patients (children and adults) under general anesthesia or IV sedation. Duties include but are not limited to: * Preparation of equipment and medications for surgical procedures * review of patients' history, patient assessment * Medical consultation forms and requisitions * IV start and administration of medications * Filling out anesthetic records * Assisting with surgery and drawing blood for PRF * Patient monitoring during sedation * Post-operative recovery and discharge * Medication and equipment inventory using nexsys * Sending out medical consults to other care providers on behalf of patients Qualifications: * ACLS and CPR and PALS * Candidates must be currently registered with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing * Good communication skills, problem solving skills and team work * Ability to take initiative and work independently within nursing scope of practice * Previous experience in surgery, emergency room, ICU, PACU or critical care an asset. * Oral surgery or dental experience an asset Job Type: Part-time Pay: $36.00-$41.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Licence/Certification: * ACLS Certification (required) Work Location: In person Location Hamilton , ON Work location On site Salary $ 36.00 to $ 41.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Part time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10228485907 Various locations Hamilton, ON
