Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Retirement home. Rural area. Tasks: Administer medications. Clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments. Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care. Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy. Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families. Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures. Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team. Provide personal care. Provide companionship. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Launder clothing and household linens. Collect specimens. Administer bedside and personal care. Change non-sterile dressings. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work. Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination. CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Personal Support Worker Certificate. Target audience: Adults. Elderly. Convalescent. Persons with a disability. Area of specialization: Community services. Security and safety: Immunization records. Tuberculosis test. Vulnerable sector check. Reference required. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle.
