*Overview* We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team environment. *Duties* * Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas * Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades as required at construction sites * Assist tradespersons such as carpenters and roofers in construction activities (ie. Installation of metal roofing, wall cladding [metal cladding, fibre cement, ACM, wood siding], rain screen systems, flashing and insulation. * Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed. * Complete daily safety paperwork and make safety apriority * Operate aerial work platforms as certified *Requirements* * Communicates effectively with leadership * Works efficiently while unsupervised * Ability to learn new skills quickly * Ability to lift minimum 50lbs * Competent in ability to use power tools * Carries themselves with a positive attitude * Ability to work at heights Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid time off Work Location: In person Location Chilliwack , BC Work location On site Salary $ 19.00 to $ 30.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10227910089 Various locations Chilliwack, BC
