*Join us at the Regina Sports Performance Centre (1464 Broadway Ave) and help transform the lives of people living with Parkinson's disease through evidence-based exercise!* U-Turn Parkinson's is a registered charitable organization dedicated to empowering people living with Parkinson's through research-backed exercise and wellness programming that improves strength, mobility, balance, confidence and quality of life. We're looking for motivated, compassionate and reliable Fitness Instructors to lead one or more of our signature programs. *What You'll Do* As a U-Turn Parkinson's Fitness Instructor, you will: * Lead engaging weekly Parkinson's-specific fitness classes incorporating strength, balance, agility, coordination and cognitive training. * Provide seated and standing exercise options to accommodate varying abilities. * Foster a safe, welcoming and encouraging environment where every participant feels supported. * Prepare, set up and clean up equipment before and after each class. * Become familiar with participants' abilities and individual considerations with support from our team. * Record attendance and maintain accurate participant information in PushPress. * Update member profiles and notes as needed. * Assist members with merchandise purchases and accept donations when applicable. * Complete light administrative duties such as submitting attendance, inventory updates and updating member profiles. * Support and direct our volunteer team (the U-Crew) during class. * Respond calmly and appropriately in emergency situations. * Communicate regularly with the Program Manager regarding participant needs, equipment and program updates. All instructors receive Parkinson's-specific training, ongoing mentorship and continued support from our team. *Qualifications* * Certified Fitness Instructor or Group Fitness Leader certification. * Current CPR and First Aid certification. * Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past six months). * Professional Liability Insurance. * Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. * Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. * Degree or designation in Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapy, Occupational * Therapy, Exercise Science or a related field is considered an asset. *Why You'll Love Working With Us* * Make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with Parkinson's. * Join a supportive, passionate and growing team. * Receive specialized Parkinson's exercise training and mentorship. * Work in a positive, community-focused environment. * Competitive compensation. * Opportunities for additional classes and program growth. *Job Details* Part-time, Casual, In-Person.
