Job Summary The 313A Refrigeration Conditioning Systems Mechanic is an experienced and licensed professional, responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency for commercial clients. Additionally, this position plays a key role in training and mentoring apprentices and labourers, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and enforcing safety and compliance requirements on job sites. Responsibilities * Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems. * Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions and take corrective action. * Conduct preventative maintenance of commercial HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan. * Install, replace, and adjust components, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with local codes and regulations. * Perform system checks, including verifying refrigerant charge, air flow, pressure, and temperature, ensuring optimal system performance. * Assist with the calibration and testing of HVAC systems to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards. * Maintain accurate records of all service calls, including work performed, time spent, parts replaced, and any system issues identified. * Provide exceptional customer service by explaining issues, solutions, and recommendations to commercial clients in a clear, professional manner. * Respond to emergency service calls and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner. * Train and mentor apprentices and labourers, providing hands-on instruction and technical guidance. * Stay up to date with industry trends, new technology, and best practices. *Skills and Abilities:* * Certification: 313A ? Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic. * Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician in commercial systems. * In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex HVAC issues.
