Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Social work, general. Mental health counselling/counsellor. Work site environment: Education or training. Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders). Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Programs dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Work setting: Community agency. Employment agency services. Data processing and computers. Office. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Administrative and office activities. Perform administrative tasks. Implement life skills workshops. Conduct follow-up assessments. Resolve conflict situations. Implement behaviour management programs. Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Manage knowledge. Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background and career goals. Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
