SUMMARY OF POSITION The maintenance worker will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance. The maintenance worker will also be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance activities, as well as trouble shooting and performing minor repairs on plumbing systems, dry walling, carpentry and notifying management of needed repairs. As well as general janitorial duties. HOURS OF WORKThe position will work 35 hours a week, 8:30am ? 4:30pm BENEFITS: Float HolidayHealth and Dental Benefits RRSP 5% matched after 1 year Above ESA standard vacation entitlement 12 Sick days per yearRESPONSIBILITIES· Routine maintenance and/or general handyman work including painting, minor drywall repair, ceiling tile installation, ceramic tiles repair/installation, minor carpentry, lock replacement/repair, basic plumbing, basic electrical and other duties. · Coordination of repairs necessary upon unit change over as required, and in consultation with the Maintenance Coordinator· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of structures and ground on the properties. · Residential installation and assembly including blinds, screen doors, etc. · Help ensure a safe work environment is always maintained by committing to work safely. Promptly reports/takes corrective action to address actual or potentially hazardous situations. · Maintain good work habits and arrives at appointments punctually. · Maintain a positive working relationship with all tenants.
