This role is for an ongoing opportunity.General ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service while fostering a warm, inclusive environmentPrepare coffee beverages according to company recipes, with a strong emphasis on accurate dial-insSupport all café offerings, including food, pastries, and merchandisingRepresent Dark Horse within the Toronto specialty coffee communityOffer constructive feedback to management to help improve processesDemonstrate a strong understanding of food service operations by providing strategic recommendationsExecute(when necessary) ordering, inventory management, queue management, and moreFollows all operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling & safety, security during each shiftTaking food and beverage orders using POS system (when necessary)Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctualityRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust have 1 year of Barista & Specialty coffee experienceMust have 2 years of Hospitality experienceWell-developed personal brand and a proven ability to build relationships across an industry.A proven executor that has participated the successful growth of food propertiesComfortable with key hospitality software including POS, scheduling and purchasing systemsAn insatiable curiosity and willingness to learn, anchored in a constant pursuit of personal developmentCan inspire and influence staff, consumers and other stakeholdersA positive ambassador with strong communication skills and a genuine kindness, thoughtfulness.Schedule and PayDay shiftPart time hours (24 hours)Full time hours (40 hours)Require availability on weekendsCompensation $18.00 to $18.50(Plus tips)While we thank all applicants for their interest, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
