Focused on asphalt paving, concrete, municipal site services, landscape construction and other exterior construction, Forest has provided quality solutions for over 25 years.We are currently looking for Concrete Finishers to join our growing team!As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for smoothing and finishing the surfaces of poured concrete using multiple methods and a variety of hand and power tools.Additional responsibilities include:Spread, compact, level and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds and floats.Monitor how environmental factors (wind, heat, cold) affects the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process.Mold expansion joints using edging tools, jointers and a straightedge.Apply sealants or other protective coatings where necessary.Repair, resurface and replace existing concrete structures.Material handling, loading and unloading work vehiclesWorking in an outdoor setting in a variety of weather conditionsOther duties as requiredQualified candidates will possess:2-5 years of experience in concrete finishingA sound knowledge of concrete operations from planning and forming to the finished productThe ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environmentThe ability to kneel, balance, climb, crouch and crawlThe ability to lift heavy objects (80+ lbs)A strong work ethic and a positive attitudeA safety conscious attitude and willingness to follow all company practices and proceduresA valid driver?s license is preferredWhy join The Forest Group?We offer a competitive compensation package with the potential for a performance-based bonus.We provide a competitive benefits package including but not limited to; medical, dental, vision, and additional benefits (i.e massage, physiotherapy, etc.).We offer a registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) with employer matching.Opportunity for significant career development due to continual growth.A strong company culture and work life balance.The Forest Group is an equal opportunity employer.
