Are you interested in gaining valuable experience learning one-on-one with an experienced Indigenous VP? Indspire is seeking an Indigenous individual for the Indigenous & Government Relations Assistant role who is energized by challenges and passionate in being a part of shaping the future of education for Indigenous people in Canada. Indspire is an Indigenous Charity that has grown and developed into one of the Top 10 Charities of Impact in Canada that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people for the long-term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada.Position PurposeAs the Indigenous & Government Relations Assistant, you would be supporting our VP, Indigenous & Government Relations. During your contract, you?ll receive training that will build transferrable skills in prospect research, report submission, proposal writing, government affairs strategies and tactics, database administration and various administrative skills.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop greater prospect research of potential public-sector partners at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels of government across Canada.Create various briefing notes and prospect lists.Research and create public sector partner reports, updating partner records and briefing notes.Assist with public sector reporting requirements.Gather required information from Indspire?s Student Success, Development, Communications and Marketing, and Finance teams to complete reports.Develop reporting timeline.Respond to information requests.Assist with Raiser?s Edge database updates.
