Prior to applying for this position, we strongly encourage you to Google our location to ensure that you will be able to travel to and from work as public transportation is limited. *Position Summary* The Childcare Attendant plays a vital role in delivering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children within our Club?s Childcare & Youth Department. This position is responsible for supervising and caring for children while their parents are using other areas of the Club. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children, while also being a collaborative team player who contributes to the overall success of the department. A strong customer service mindset, flexibility, and a commitment to child safety and wellbeing are essential in this role.? *Position Responsibilities:* * Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children ages 4 months to?10 years? * Model positive behavior and reinforce the Club?s code of conduct and safety expectations with children and families. * Facilitate age-appropriate play and activities to keep children engaged * Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges and implement positive guidance techniques. * Ensure accurate child-to-staff ratios are maintained at all times. * Maintain a cheerful, professional, and approachable demeanor when interacting with children, families, and fellow team members. * Provide excellent customer service, ensuring families feel confident and comfortable leaving their children in our care. * Collaborate with team members to share creative ideas, enhance programming, and contribute to the ongoing development of the Childcare and Youth department. *Skills & Qualifications * * Flexibility in hours?- must be available to work a combination of weekdays and weekends between the hours of 8:30am ? 8:30pm * Responsible Adult Certificate * Experience working with children and youth * Early Childhood Education (ECE), Infant Toddler, or ECE Assistant certification is an asset; related childcare experience with references will also be considered. * Valid First Aid and CPR certification is considered a strong asset. * Access to reliable transportation is an asset due to the Club?s location * Candidates must obtain a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector search as part of the onboarding process. *Perks & Benefits* * Competitive Compensation * Paid time-off * Free on-site parking * On-duty staff meals (taxable benefit for full-time and part-time employees only) * Company events * Sports Boutique discount *Working Conditions* * This position operates 100% on-site * Regular evenings or weekend work may be required during peak periods or special events * Own transportation is an asset as public transportation is not frequent to/from the Club *Additional Information* Hollyburn Country Club is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
