*Bornea Dynamics Limited* *Location:* Beamsville, Ontario *Employment Type:* Full-Time *About the Role* Bornea Dynamics Limited is seeking a Specialized Engineering Technician to support the development, assembly, integration, and testing of advanced engineering systems and prototypes. This is a highly hands-on, multidisciplinary position suited to someone who is comfortable working across electronics, fibre optics, mechanical assemblies, and general workshop activities. The successful candidate will work closely with Bornea's engineering team to turn designs into functional hardware, support prototype development, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain an organized and capable engineering workshop. We are looking for someone who enjoys building things, solving practical problems, and working across several technical disciplines rather than performing the same production task every day. *Key Responsibilities* The Specialized Engineering Technician will support engineering and prototype development activities including: * Soldering, assembly, modification, and rework of electronic components, cables, connectors, PCBs, and wiring harnesses. * Fibre-optic preparation, termination, splicing, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting. * Assembly and integration of electrical, electronic, optical, and mechanical systems. * Construction of prototype systems, test fixtures, cable assemblies, and engineering breadboards. * Reading and working from engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions. * Supporting engineers during prototype integration, testing, debugging, and design iteration. * Performing electrical continuity checks, basic electrical measurements, and functional testing using standard laboratory equipment. * Identifying and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, optical, and integration issues. * Installing and routing cables, connectors, fibre, sensors, electronics, and other system components. * Performing precision mechanical assembly using standard hand and power tools. * Operating workshop and material-handling equipment, including forklifts, where required. * Supporting receiving, movement, organization, and preparation of engineering materials and equipment. * Maintaining tools, equipment, consumables, and engineering work areas. * Documenting assembly, modification, testing, and troubleshooting activities. * Supporting prototype demonstrations, field trials, equipment preparation, and deployment activities as required. * Assisting with other technical and workshop activities associated with the development of new products and systems. *Required Skills and Experience* We are looking for candidates with a strong combination of practical technical skills. Relevant experience may have been gained through electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, defence, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, automotive, robotics, or similar technical environments. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
