Job Summary The Assembler will be required to perform tasks that will include the assembly of small to medium size aerospace parts using bolts, screws, clips, assorted fasteners and other tools. The Assembler will be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies. Job Responsibilities * Read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams. * Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment. * Operate and tend automated assembling equipment such as robotic and fixed automation equipment. * Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead hoists. * Mark, record and report defects. * Clean and perform preparation of work-site. * Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. * Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools. * Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices when working in confined spaces and/or hazardous environments. * Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines. * Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. * Inspect for fit and compliance with quality documents installed pre-fabricated parts, sub-assemblies and mechanical systems, working at benches or directly on an aircraft structure. * Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Qulaifications * High School Diploma, GED or equivalent * Minimum of 3 years' experience in assembly, manufacturing (machining) and assembly processes. * Experience in the aerospace industry and familiarity with aerospace parts is a string asset * Ability to lift 50lbs. * Experience in the Aerospace industry a strong asset. * Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. * Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision * Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job. * Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. * Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications. * Familiarity with quality standards. * Accurate and highly analytical. * Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour Experience: * Mechanical assembly: 3 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Location Mississauga , ON Work location On site Salary $ 22.00 to $ 25.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10226598239 Various locations Mississauga, ON
