*We* are looking for an experienced *Mobile Sandblaster / Surface Preparation Technician* to join our growing operation in Nova Scotia. We are looking for someone who can *work independently*, take pride in their work, and is comfortable travelling to customer sites. Experience working in the *marine industry, shipyards, or on vessels is preferred*. Responsibilities * Operate mobile abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently * Prepare steel and other surfaces for painting and coatings * Perform abrasive blasting on vessels, marine structures, structural steel, and industrial equipment * Set up and tear down blasting equipment at job sites * Inspect surfaces and ensure the required level of preparation is achieved * Maintain blasting equipment and report any mechanical issues * Follow all company safety procedures and job-site requirements * Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards * Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications & Experience * Previous abrasive blasting or industrial surface preparation experience * *Marine/shipyard experience is considered a strong asset* * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Experience operating compressors, blast pots, and related equipment * Strong understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements * Valid driver's licence * Willingness to travel to various job sites throughout Nova Scotia * Physically capable of performing demanding industrial work * Reliable, punctual, and dependable What We Offer * Competitive wages based on experience * Steady work with opportunities for additional hours * Variety of marine, industrial, and structural steel projects * Opportunity to work independently and take ownership of projects * Training and support as required Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: * Lunenburg, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person Location Lunenburg , NS Work location On site Salary $ 24.00 to $ 32.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10226603601 Various locations Lunenburg, NS
