At Olly Fresco's, we're looking to hire cashiers for our fast paced food service business. Our schedule is 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday . All weekends and stat holidays are off. We look forward to meeting you! location: 18 York St, 2nd floor (south of Union Station) *Core Responsibilities* * *Transaction Processing:* Operate cash registers, optical scanners, and POS (Point-of-Sale) systems to ring up items and calculate total costs, including taxes and discounts. * *Payment Handling:* Accept various forms of payment?cash, credit, debit, gift cards, and mobile payments?and accurately issue receipts and correct change. * *Customer Service:* Greet customers, answer questions about products or store policies, provide directions, and resolve complaints or price discrepancies. * *Administrative Tasks:* Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, reconcile total sales with payments received, and report any discrepancies to management. * *Area Maintenance:* Keep the checkout station clean, organized, and stocked with essential supplies like bags and receipt paper. * Neat, clean, & organized cash area * ? Clean and restock cash station (utensils, napkins, bags, receipt paper) q * ? Dealing with unsatisfied guests * ? Package portion containers with nuts and candy * ? Generally re-stock the store throughout the business day * ? Understand how to use/maintain/clean Bunn ICP Coffee Machines * ? POS various transaction knowledge * ? Check volume and clean Coffee Thermos * ? Replenish fridges & fixtures q? Keep inventory of coffee, tea, & filters q? Diligent in knowledge of best before dates * Replenish coffee cups throughout the day Keep front of house clean q? * Replenish fridges with drinks and snacks. * Clean, maintain, & replenish coffee toppings co * unter (cream, milk, soy, sugar, lids, etc.) * Clean buffet sneeze guard glass. * Clean, monitor, and replenish cappuccino/hot chocolate machine. q? Restock buffet plates/containers * Wrap Pastries, and frozen cakes * Cut frozen cakes/pastries *Essential Skills & Qualifications* * *Basic Mathematics:* Ability to perform quick mental calculations for change and verify transaction totals. * *Communication:* Strong verbal skills to interact clearly and politely with a diverse range of customers and team members. * *Attention to Detail:* Meticulousness in scanning items, checking for price accuracy, and handling currency to prevent errors. * *Integrity:* High level of honesty and trustworthiness due to constant handling of large sums of money. * *Physical Stamina:* Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift heavy items (often up to 25?50 lbs). * *Multitasking:* Managing a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and a friendly demeanor.
