Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Laboratory. Willing to relocate. General office. Private practice. Advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals. Conduct veterinary research related to areas such as animal nutrition, health care products development and disease prevention and control. Perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations. Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia. Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
