Job Description: The incumbent would be responsible for the following: 1. Stage Inspection -Monitoring Stage Inspection to detect defects early and prevent quality issues from - Using inspection data to identify recurring issues and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) - Adhering to Assembly & Upright processes. - Conducting periodic audits to verify process adherence and identify deviations. - Aligning stage inspection activities with overall quality management systems and IMS protocols - Training operators and inspectors on stage-wise inspection criteria and process standards. 2. DPV reduction at Final Inspection -Setting stage / Departmental performance criteria for each stage of the production and inspection process. - Achieving set criteria along with Assembly / Upright team. -Providing guidance, support, and resources to address recurring defects and process deviations. - Conducting review meetings with Function Heads to assess DPV trends,root causes, and improvement plans. - Tracking closure of action items and escalate unresolved issues for higher-level intervention. 3. Digitization at Final Inspection -Compile inspection data into structured digital formats. - Ensuring timely and accurate presentation of monthly inspection performance in QTF forums. - Use digital tools (e.g., dashboards, spreadsheets, BI platforms) to visualize inspection metrics and highlight improvement areas. 4. Kaizen, Safety, IMS & Organizational Imperatives - Actively contribute to individual and workmen kaizen initiatives aimed at improving quality, productivity, and efficiency. - Ensuring a safe and hazard-free working environment in the Department. - Investigating near-misses and incidents thoroughly and implement preventive measures to maintain the target of zero accidents. - Ensuring all departmental procedures are aligned with IMS standards -Update the IMS manual promptly whenever process changes are made, ensuring documentation reflects current practices. - Conduct periodic reviews of the IMS manual to maintain relevance, accuracy, and compliance with audit requirements.
