As a Salesforce Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and configuring software systems either end-to-end or for a specific stage of product lifecycle. Apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support the Ford Credit Salesforce Product Team. Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. Responsible for team decisions. Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. Advanced proficiency in Software Product Management is required. Advanced proficiency in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) is recommended. Intermediate proficiency in New Product Introduction (NPI), advanced proficiency in Software Asset Management (SAM), and intermediate proficiency in Design Innovation are suggested. Bachelors degree (or equivalent applied experience/professional qualification). 10+ years of Salesforce development knowledge. Extensive knowledge of Salesforce development lifecycle tools & techniques. Have current and valid certifications in: At least one core certification from the core Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator or App Builder. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II Strong proficiency in Salesforce dev ecosystem (Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Java). Salesforce Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of Salesforces architecture, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components and SOQL/SOSL Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Apex, Java and / or JavaScript, and familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS) Data Management: Skills in data modelling, data migration, and integration with external systems Security Best Practices: Knowledge of Salesforce security features, including role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security Experience using Anypoint/Mulesoft platform as Salesforce Integration ESB. Strong ability to understand and collaborate working with application designs, technology stacks, multiple codebases, and related business objectives. Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills. Ability to write, interpret and critique technical specifications. Experience with Salesforce application lifecycle (CI/CD pipelines, including testing). Proactive attitude to integrate Salesforce innovations into existing solutions. Demonstrated ability to drive development of highly technical technology services and capabilities. Workflow Automation: Experience with Salesforce automation tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules Lead the software development team in creating innovative solutions for the Ford Credit Salesforce Product Team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of software systems. Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and methodologies. Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to enhance product lifecycle management. Contribute to the overall success of the project by implementing best practices in software development. Providing input to drive best in class design decisions. Ensure successful integration of Salesforce platform with existing portfolio of Ford Credit applications. Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems using Salesforce technology and resources (focusing on reusability). Build and maintain digital expertise by researching latest industry trends and standards, driving innovation through PoCs and experiments. Develop Apex (classes and triggers) to extend Salesforce to support business requirements. o Custom User Interface development, including Lightning pages and Web Components. Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other corporate systems following existing standards. Automate performance monitoring and notification in the event of failures using best practices and tools. Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users) to understand functional and non-functional requirements. Coordinate projects with Salesforce Administrators to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits). Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development. Extend those best practices across Ford organizations. Support Salesforce Administrator needs. Coach and mentor engineers in Ford development community working on developing Salesforce solutions. Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead a team, manage projects, and mentor junior developers Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members Adaptability: Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
