Senior Manager - Production

Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Control: Oversee daily production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Develop and implement efficient production schedules. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery. Monitor KPIs such as OEE, productivity, downtime, and yield. Team Leadership & People Management: Lead and motivate the production team to achieve departmental goals. Identify training needs and provide skill development opportunities. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Quality & Compliance: Coordinate with the Quality Assurance/Quality Control team to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for production issues. Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP (for pharma), and ISO standards. Process Improvement: Identify and implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives. Recommend improvements in workflow, equipment, and resource allocation. Inventory & Cost Control: Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to manage raw materials and reduce waste. Monitor and control production costs to stay within budget. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate production records and generate daily/weekly/monthly reports. Present operational updates and improvement plans to senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related field. (Master's degree or MBA in Operations/Management is a plus.) 8–15 years of progressive experience in production management, preferably in [industry]. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and production planning tools (ERP/SAP).
