About The Role To support the next wave of innovation and continue to deliver ground-breaking propositions for Magnum, we are looking for a QA Lead – Product Engineering who is passionate about software architecture and committed to delivering premier InsurTech solutions. As the Magnum Technical Architect , you will lead product design by combining design thinking techniques, engineering expertise, domain knowledge, and strategic networking to ensure successful delivery of the product roadmap while retaining institutional knowledge within Swiss Re. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership in QA automation, performance, and agile strategy implementation for Magnum quality assurance. Evaluate and recommend test tools for automation (including build verification tools, IDE plugins, and lint programs). Define and develop high-/low-level design for automation frameworks that align with the testing strategy. Participate in hands-on testing activities across the product portfolio and client-facing engagements (demos, feedback meetings, etc.). Develop and maintain automation scripts in line with defined internal standards. Understand and enhance the current QA strategy, tools, and technologies used across the Magnum suite. Mentor and groom high-performing QA teams and uphold Swiss Re's core values. Anticipate and mitigate technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle. Represent the product and portfolio vision across internal and strategic external forums. Lead code reviews and ensure high-quality code delivery. Research and prototype new-age testing requirements. Your Qualifications 8+ years of experience in software development, QA automation, and DevOps. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree is a plus. Strong programming and QA background, preferably in Enterprise Java . Proficient in Java/J2EE , REST , Junit/TestNG , and test automation frameworks. Experience in frontend automation using tools such as Selenium , WebDriver , Cucumber , JMeter , BlazeMeter . Expertise in UI technologies like Angular , ReactJS , Karma , Cypress , Jest , Mocha , Jasmine . DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines , preferably using Jenkins . Skilled in performance, penetration, and security testing. Hands-on with Git , JIRA , Azure DevOps , and automation tools like WDIO , SoapUI , Postman , RestAssured , TestComplete , Py-test . Strong database knowledge (SQL/NoSQL) and query design. Experience in designing automation solutions for complex architectures involving UI, services, file systems, and databases. Must be able to work across both frontend and backend QA environments. Experience in leading QA teams and providing technical direction. Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and domain knowledge of underwriting processes or life insurance is a plus. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
