Senior Cloud Architect

Role : Solution Architect Industry Type : IT Services & Consulting Department : Engineering - Software & QA Employment Type : Full Time, Permanent Role Category : Software Development About the Team The Cloud Transformation Delivery Team is a newly formed unit within the Public Cloud Transformation department . The team focuses on driving cloud transformation across business domain ITs through architecture delivery and hands-on engineering. It also acts as a gateway to understand application needs and helps establish new shared services and capabilities on the public cloud platform. Mission : Deliver business value by enabling Swiss Re and its business units to harness the power and flexibility of public cloud—accelerating adoption across the organization. About the Role Are you passionate about solution architecture, cloud, and data Then step into the role of Public Cloud Platform Solution Architect and be part of a startup culture at a mega scale . You'll work closely with various business teams to bring impactful products to life, supporting their strategy and enhancing cross-functional processes. This role will have you designing high-level solution architectures to transform applications to Public Cloud alongside domain Product Owners and Architects. Your Main Responsibilities Architect comprehensive cloud platforms to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Design and deliver platform architecture suitable for secure Azure landing zones . Develop disaster recovery and backup plans based on RTO, RPO, and other critical parameters. Support engineering teams to implement infrastructure aligned with platform architecture. Collaborate with Security, Governance, and Enterprise Architecture teams to align with technology roadmaps and best practices. About You Required Technical Skills : Proven experience with Azure landing zone design , automation, DevSecOps tooling, network topology, access management, platform monitoring, and security/HA architecture. Proficiency in one or more languages: .NET / C#, Java, Python, Ruby . Solid grasp of Cloud Platform Services : IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS. Hands-on experience with DevOps/DevSecOps , CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and testing environments. Knowledge of Microservices , Containers , Docker , Kubernetes . Familiarity with agile development methodologies . Soft Skills & Abilities : Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Comfortable navigating complex, fast-paced environments . Ability to guide cross-functional teams (Product, Development, QA, Implementation). Proficient in project risk communication and expectation management . Good to Have : Web application development experience using Visual Studio . Understanding of Azure network technologies . Education UG : Any Graduate PG : Any Postgraduate
