The Impact you will have in this role: We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer/ Snowflake Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL, database platforms, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, cloud-based data environments, and performance tuning. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and database systems. Your Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain database solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects. Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as DBT, Snowpipe, and COPY INTO. Develop and maintain data models, including relational, dimensional, star, and snowflake schemas. Manage and optimize databases on platforms such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks, and AWS. Implement data integration solutions using APIs, SFTP, and batch processing methods. Ensure data quality through validation, reconciliation, and data profiling activities. Monitor database and pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance enhancements. Implement security controls including RBAC, database roles, and access management. Maintain version control using Git and GitHub. Support Agile delivery processes, including participation in Scrum ceremonies and Jira-based project management. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of related experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Talents Needed for Success: Strong experience with SQL and database development. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and at least one major database platform (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Databricks). Experience designing data models and data warehouse solutions. Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and data transformation techniques. Experience with AWS cloud services and data platforms. Understanding of database security, monitoring, and performance tuning. Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities. Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
