The best run DevOps teams in the world choose Perforce. Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced senior software engineer, who has hands-on experience with Golang and TypeScript (Angular). Your daily tasks will include feature development, technical designs, refactoring and creating proof of concept solutions for our P4 One product. P4 One is a free desktop version control application built by Perforce specifically for artists, designers, and creators. It provides an intuitive, visual interface for managing large binary files and tracking creative assets (like 3D models and 2D textures) without requiring deep technical knowledge of complex version control systems. Responsibilities: Write application code for P4 One backend as well as front end Do detailed code reviews for other developers in your agile team Write unit and integration tests for the code changes Analyse performance and security of the components you are working with and provide input for improvements Work with rest of the Development team to break down business requirements into technical tasks Refactor old codebase Create Proof of Concept solutions for new technologies and features Mentor and technically guide other engineers on the team, as needed Requirements: You have 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, ideally with complex systems, and Enterprise applications BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent Mandatory: Comfortable working autonomously and making end-user focused product decisions Languages: Golang, TypeScript (Angular) Experience with CI/CD processes and P4 version control Nice to have: Experience in the VFX, Animation, or Games industry Experience with Docker Experience with AI driven software development All employees are expected to demonstrate AI fluency appropriate to their role and level, including responsible use of AI tools, sound judgment, and adherence to company AI governance and security policy standards. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
