Job Summary We are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Failure Mode / Product Performance Engineer to support product reliability, failure analysis, and performance improvement initiatives. The role focuses on developing historical failure databases, analyzing product performance trends, conducting root cause investigations, leveraging AI-driven analytics for predictive insights, and supporting cross-functional engineering teams in driving product quality and reliability improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong automotive engineering background, knowledge of OEM product development processes, combustion engine fundamentals, and experience in reliability engineering, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau Technical Skills (Must Have) Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Reliability Engineering Statistical Data Analysis Product Performance Evaluation Power BI and/or Tableau Advanced Microsoft Excel Engineering Reporting & Visualization Database Management Data Governance & Traceability Predictive Analytics AI/ML Concepts and Applications in Engineering Automotive Engineering Fundamentals OEM Product Development Processes Warranty Analysis and Product Lifecycle Management Automotive Domain Requirements Strong understanding of automotive product development lifecycle (Phase 0 to Phase 5). Knowledge of OEM development milestones, validation gates, and release processes. Understanding of combustion engine functionality. Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine operating principles. Ability to investigate and resolve complex automotive product failures.
