Job Responsibilities Preparing simple to medium complex tax returns: Real estate fund, holding entity and property partnership returns (Form 1065); REIT (Form 1120-REIT); and corporate blockers (Form 1120) Preparing state and local tax returns, composite and withholding filings for client in the Real Estate industry Preparing quarterly and annual REIT Testing compliance Meet client, internal and statutory deadlines Completing tax planning and research regarding specific tax issues Understanding tax regulations and accounting pronouncements Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law Other duties as assigned Some travel may be required (varies based on location, line of business & client need) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field (B.Com/BBA/M.Com/MBA) Minimum 1 year expereince in US taxations domain (preferrably worked for 1 or 2 busy seasons in the skillset of respective capability as need for the business) Preferable Enrolled Agent / Certified Public Accountant Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within applicable deadlines and in accordance with firm and client standards Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and through electronic or written means in English Effective project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality of work in a fast paced, client service environment Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and, as required by the role, at client sites, including the ability to sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer and other standard office equipment Ability to maintain consistent, onsite presence during core business hours including the ability to regularly report to a firm office location and travel to client sites as required, including access to reliable transportation Ability to work extended and/or non standard hours during peak periods or as necessary to meet client, project, or firm business needs At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
