SAP ILM

Job Descriptions · Work with Technical Lead, Functional Consultants, Basis team and PM to analyze SAP ILM requirements, data archiving scope, retention policies and compliance needs. · Configure and support SAP ILM functions such as Retention Management, data archiving, legal hold, data destruction and ILM Store integration. · Analyze archiving objects, ILM objects, residence/retention rules and business dependencies across SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA systems. · Execute and support data archiving activities including write, delete, store, retrieve and reporting processes using SAP standard tools. · Prepare functional/technical specifications, test scripts, configuration documents and operation guides for SAP ILM and archiving processes. · Support unit testing, SIT/UAT, cutover, deployment and post go-live support for SAP ILM implementation or AMS change requests. · Troubleshoot ILM/archiving issues related to configuration, authorization, variants, background jobs, storage connection and data retrieval. · Coordinate with Basis, Security, Functional and Infrastructure teams for transport, job scheduling, storage setup and issue resolution across DEV, QAS and PRD landscapes. · Contribute to estimation, impact analysis, risk assessment and continuous improvement for SAP ILM, data volume management and compliance-related initiatives. JOB QUALIFICATIONS · At least 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP data archiving, SAP ILM, SAP technical/functional consulting or SAP AMS delivery. Experience from 5 years above is preferred for Senior level. · Good understanding of SAP Information Lifecycle Management, including Retention Management, ILM policies/rules, legal hold, data destruction and archive storage concepts. · Hands-on experience with SAP data archiving tools and transactions such as SARA, SARI, ILM-related configuration and background job monitoring. · Experience with archiving objects, ILM objects, residence/retention periods, variants, archive information structures and data retrieval/reporting. · Good knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA business processes and integration points across modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, HCM or industry solutions. · Ability to analyze data volume, business requirements and legal/compliance requirements, then translate them into practical ILM and archiving design. · Basic ABAP debugging or technical analysis capability is preferred for troubleshooting exits, custom objects, archive programs and enhancement points. · Experience in AMS/support model, incident handling, change request delivery and production issue troubleshooting is preferred. · Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration, system conversion, carve-out, system decommissioning or data volume management projects is a plus. · Experience with ILM-certified storage, WebDAV-based storage, OpenText or other archive/content server solutions is a plus. · Able to communicate in English in meetings, clarify requirements, explain solutions and manage assigned tasks within agreed timeline and quality.
