Spray Painter

SMJ Construction & Renovations Ltd is an established building contractor and property development firm located in Two Mile Borris, Thurles, County Tipperary. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Spray Painter to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and finishing of timber panels and components, ensuring consistently high-quality finishes while meeting production requirements and deadlines. Responsibilities & duties for this role include; - Prepare timber panels and components for finishing, including sanding, cleaning and masking. - Mix and apply paints, stains, lacquers and other coatings. - Operate spray-painting and lacquer equipment to achieve a high-quality, consistent finish. - Inspect finished work and maintain required quality standards. - Work as part of the production team to meet deadlines. - Follow all health, safety and environmental requirements, including correct PPE use and safe handling of flammable materials. Qualifications & Experience • 2–5 years’ relevant experience in timber, joinery, furniture or manufacturing. • Strong knowledge of spray-painting equipment, paints, stains, lacquers and finishing techniques. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team. Remuneration for this role is €36,605 per annum based on 39 hours or week.
