Grain Store Maintenance Technician Fitter

Nuttstown Storage Ltd T/A Ward Feeds are currently seeking for a Grain Store Maintenance Technician Fitter for their sites located at Nuttstown Storage House, Clonee Co. Meath. A Grain Store Maintenance Technician /Fitter would have to ensure the continuous, safe, and hygienic operation of grain intake, drying, and storage facilities. Daily duties include routine mechanical and electrical machinery repairs, facility upkeep, fault-finding, and preparing equipment for peak harvest seasons. Key Duties & Responsibilities are as follows: •Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled servicing on equipment (grain dryers, elevators, conveyors, and intake pits) to prevent breakdowns. Swiftly diagnose and repair machinery failures during high-pressure harvest periods. •General Store Upkeep: Maintain the structural integrity of the grain store, ensure proper ventilation, and perform regular housekeeping to prevent pest infestations and dust accumulation. •Welding & Fabrication: Perform structural repairs, welding, and metal fabrication on bins, augers, and chutes as needed. •Compliance & Safety: Enforce Health and Safety Authority regulations. Ensure strict adherence to food/feed hygiene, bio-security, and environmental standards. •Harvest Support: Assist in grain intake, sampling, and moisture testing during peak seasons, which frequently involves flexible or extended hours. A minimum of 1 to 3 years as a Grain Store Maintenance Technician Fitter or a similar role required. Total remuneration for this role is €36,605 per annum based on standard 39 hour work week.
