Steel Fixing Foreman

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Steel Fixing Foreman to lead and supervise reinforcement steel fixing operations on construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing steel fixing crews, coordinating reinforcement activities, interpreting drawings and bar bending schedules, and ensuring all reinforcement works are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements. Proven experience as a Steel Fixing Foreman, Steel Fixing Chargehand, or Senior Steel Fixer. Extensive practical experience in reinforcement steel fixing. Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction. Ability to read and understand structural and reinforcement drawings. Experience working with bar bending schedules and reinforcement details. Strong understanding of reinforcement installation, tying, laps, couplers, starters, links, and supports. Proven ability to lead and manage steel fixing crews. Good understanding of construction sequencing and concrete pour requirements. Strong knowledge of site health and safety procedures. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to identify and resolve practical site issues. Ability to work to tight project programmes and deadlines. Reliable, organised, and proactive approach to work. Relevant trade or construction qualifications are desirable. Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification required. Additional lifting, supervisory, or safety qualifications are an advantage.
