AT&S industrializes leading-edge technologies for its core business segments Mobile Devices & ... 1 Production Process Engineer Plating HTB 3 In your role as a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and sustaining advanced IC substrate manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for ensuring stable, high-yield, and cost-efficient production while supporting new product introductions and technology developments. Working closely with cross-functional and international teams, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, drive innovation, and help maintain AT&S' position as a technology leader in the semiconductor industry. Your Responsibilities * Develop, characterize, and optimize IC substrate manufacturing processes within your area of expertise. * Define process requirements, evaluate suppliers, and qualify manufacturing equipment and tooling. * Monitor process performance using statistical process control (SPC) and drive process stability improvements. * Investigate and resolve process-related issues to ensure high yield, quality, and throughput. * Design and execute experiments (DoE) to improve process capability, reliability, and cost efficiency. * Support new product introductions and the successful ramp-up into high-volume manufacturing. * Create and maintain process documentation while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. * Collaborate with global engineering teams, mentor junior colleagues, and support internal and external audits. Your Profile * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field. * Minimum 2 years of experience as an Engineer or Process Engineer, preferably within IC substrate, semiconductor packaging, electronics manufacturing, or a related industry. * Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies and Six Sigma tools such as SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, 8D, and 5 Why. * Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and problem-solving. * Knowledge of project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies. * Proficient in engineering and data analysis tools such as MS Office, JMP, Minitab, SAP, APC, or comparable software. * Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are considered an advantage. * Strong communication and teamwork skills, willingness to work in a cleanroom environment, travel internationally, and collaborate within intercultural teams. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
