Title: Senior Fund Structuring and Client Communication – Japanese and English fluent – CDI Dept: PRODUCT AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT Description: The Product and Business Development Department is responsible for business development and building bridges between Japanese and non-Japanese clients and our local business. The department handles all fund-related queries from clients and advisors, including structuring new investment funds, on-boarding and managing relationships with counterparties (Investment Advisors, Investors, Promoters, and Distributors). We provide value-added services throughout the business relationship and act as an intermediary between clients and other NBL departments. The department specializes in maintaining strong relationships with clients in alternative investments, such as private equity funds. In order to support the Product and Business Development Department, we are looking for a Senior Officer for a permanent contract. Your main tasks will be to: • Manage fund structuring based on the needs from external fund promoters - Coordinate the preparation of legal documents with internal legal departments and external counsel - Conduct negotiation relating to fund structuring • Liaise with Japanese/non-Japanese clients for fund structuring issues i.e.: answer queries, requests and claims received from Investment Advisors, Investors and Distributors • Support the creation of new products as well as internal procedures • Liaise with alternative investment clients for inquires, requests, claims relating to their funds • Provide our Japanese-speaking and English-speaking clients with the best quality they can expect • Assist in all administrative matters related to the department activities, including planning, presentation and business development • Maintain / update various reports and fund lists • Follow regulatory developments Job requirements: • Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field • Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) is mandatory • Moderate experience in the financial industry, ideally in fund administration in Japan • Knowledge in alternative investments (e.g. private equity funds) is a plus • Successful track record in building and maintaining client relationships with strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation • High professional approach in all contacts, risk awareness, customer and quality minded • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills • Flexibility, open-mindedness and team spirit are highly appreciated assets “Please be aware that in accordance with the law of July 23, 2016, the selected candidate will be requested to provide a criminal record (section 3)” If you are interested in this position and meet the job requirements, please apply by clicking on our Nomura Recruitment Gateway.
