We are seeking a strategic analytics professional with 5+ years of experience in data strategy, marketing analytics, or consulting to lead competitive intelligence and audience insights across the automotive category. This role is responsible for analyzing sales performance, media investment, web traffic, consumer sentiment, brand health, and survey data to identify market positioning, growth opportunities, and actionable recommendations for Mazda. The ideal candidate can synthesize complex, multi-source datasets into clear, story-driven insights, build and validate consumer segments, track key brand and performance KPIs, and connect marketing metrics to business outcomes. Success in this role requires strong experience with syndicated and social insight tools, fast-turn reporting, and fluency with AI and LLMs for business use. What you’ll do Analyze competitive intelligence across automotive brands including sales performance, media investment strategy, web traffic, consumer sentiment, brand health tracking, and survey research to understand market positioning and identify growth opportunities for Mazda. Build and validate audience profiles and consumer segments while uncovering whitespace opportunities and emerging consumer trends to support strategic targeting recommendations. Monitor and interpret key competitive KPIs such as Share of Voice, Cross Shopping, Share of Search/Web Traffic, Consideration, Purchase Intent, sentiment, and Web Conversion Ratios to evaluate brand performance within the automotive category. Synthesize large, complex, and multi source datasets into story driven insights and strategic recommendations that inform brand, media, and audience strategies Conduct social listening, competitive positioning, and consumer perception analysis to assess brand health, campaign performance, and competitor movement across the automotive landscape. What you’ll need 5+ years of experience in data strategy, marketing analytics, or business consulting Proven proficiency with syndicated data tools for market, social, and audience insights such as SimilarWeb, Vivvix, BrandWatch, Adobe Analytics, Dynata and Marketcast Demonstrated ability to translate audience data into actionable segmentation and behavioral insight Ability to connect marketing metrics to downstream business KPIs (pipeline, revenue, brand share, etc.) Ability to quickly extract, analyze, visualize and interpret data and market trends for quick-turn, client-facing reporting Fluency with AI tools and LLMs for business use The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
