You collaborate closely with Design, Product Management, and global supply partners to translate creative vision into effortless, highly functional, and commercially viable products that push the boundaries of innovation. Your process-driven mindset, attention to detail, and expertise in pattern making, construction techniques, and technical materials ensure every product delivers exceptional value and meets On’s exacting standards for design, quality, and performance. Your Mission: Responsible for every aspect of technical product development from concept to production, ensuring all items meet On standards for design, quality, performance, and sustainability. Develop and create Tech Packs —including technical drawings, material and component specifications, color applications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation within Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems, to communicate requirements for Design aesthetic, fit, cost, and construction engineering Develop innovative construction techniques and technical product solutions that fulfill design intent while achieving target FOB, gross margins, and durability guidelines.Analyze 2D patterns and 3D mock-ups, fitting knowledge, and soft goods expertise to optimize product ergonomics, volume, and performance. Organize and lead fit, function, and sample review sessions, documenting clear technical comments and communicating adjustments promptly to global factory partners. Resolve technical and structural challenges across performance accessories through advanced bonding, stitching, and assembly techniques. Own the development process for Inline and Special Projects, to ensure timely execution against seasonal calendar milestones. Maintain clear and timely communication with factories regarding specification updates, monitoring sample accuracy to streamline prototyping iterations and reduce sample waste. Participate with the Accessories Creation Lead, Design Lead and Product Manager to align execution with seasonal delivery timelines and commercial goals.Build vendor and cross functional relationships through effective email correspondence, on site travel and in person meetings. Your Story: Specialization: You bring 5+ years of experience dedicated exclusively to the development of accessories focused on bags & backpacks. Performance Expertise: You have a proven track record in sports and high-end performance gear, understanding the rigors of athletic use. Technical Bags and Packs Background: Experience in performance and Lifestyle bags and packs is highly desirable. Analytical Design: Proficient in translating 2D design concepts into 3D performance realities using advanced PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator. Global Sourcing: Experience collaborating with world-class manufacturers to push the boundaries of performance textile innovation.
