Position Overview We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Aura AI Platform team. You will design, build, and operate the infrastructure that runs customer workloads (Notebooks, Jobs, Apps, AI Agents, and Model-serving) on top of SingleStore, across multiple regions and clouds. You will work on services that manage container pools, resource scaling, routing, RBAC, Billing, Observability and secure network access between clusters. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building distributed platforms, owning production systems, and enabling real-time AI and data applications at scale. What you'll do: Design, build and maintain the platform that powers internal and customer‑facing intelligent services on SingleStore Lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from conception to deployment, mentoring other engineers along the way Work closely with product managers, designers, customers, and other engineers to ensure we deliver a high-quality experience Drive the team's engineering standards, championing best practices in system design, code quality, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure we scale reliably. Share on-call responsibilities and proactively improve the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. Your Experience: 4+ years of experience working on a SaaS product Experience with working on distributed systems, ideally in programming languages such as Golang, Python or Rust Experience working with Kubernetes and/or containerized services Intellectual curiosity about investigating issues that impact business metrics Passion for building high-quality products that are robust and easy to maintain in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong communication skills with a passion for mentoring peers, fostering a collaborative team culture, and executing efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience building developer platforms, compute platforms, ML platforms, or serverless/container execution environments. Experience working with frontend web frameworks like React. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
