Role summary As a Senior .NET Developer on our Application Infrastructure team, you will design, build, and evolve the core platform components that power Payoneer’s global financial services. You’ll work on highly available, distributed systems that serve millions of customers across 190+ markets, partnering with engineering teams to deliver shared frameworks, libraries, and cloud-native services. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves technology, is energized by AI’s impact on how we build software, and wants to shape the foundation that the rest of engineering builds on. Petah Tikva, Israel Hybrid Full-time What you’ll do · Design, build, and own end-to-end backend services and shared infrastructure components written in C# / .NET (.NET 8+) that power Payoneer’s global platform · Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS or Azure, including containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless functions, messaging, and observability · Design data models and high-performance access layers across both relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase, or similar) · Integrate AI capabilities into platform tooling and services – from LLM-powered developer productivity to embedding-based search, RAG patterns, and AI-assisted operational workflows · Champion engineering excellence: code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, performance tuning, and production-readiness across the services you own · Partner with product, security, SRE, and other engineering teams to define APIs, contracts, and shared platform capabilities that other developers depend on every day · Mentor other engineers, raise the bar through technical leadership, and continuously explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to keep Payoneer’s platform modern Who you are · 7+ years of professional backend software development experience, with strong proficiency in a strictly typed language – here, primarily C# and .NET · Experience building and integrating cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, including hands-on work with Docker and Kubernetes in production · Proven experience with both SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DB), including schema design, query optimization, and scaling · Solid understanding of API design, security, and data-driven applications, plus distributed systems patterns (microservices, asynchronous messaging, caching, resiliency, REST) · Hands-on experience developing AI-based products or features – integrating LLMs, AI APIs, embeddings/RAG, or AI coding assistants into real software, with genuine curiosity about applying AI to platform and infrastructure problems · Strong grasp of reliability, scalability, and system design, with a test-oriented approach. · Production ownership — drives projects end-to-end and enjoys building infrastructure that serves product teams. · Builder's mindset: curious, pragmatic, and in love with technology. · Team player with strong communication — transparent, and collaborative. #LI-CD1 The Payoneer Ways of Working Act as our customer’s partner on the inside Learning what they need and creating what will help them go further.
