Principal Legal Counsel (Litigation and Investigations)

This is an exceptional opportunity to become a part of Coupang’s growth in Taiwan and create a world where our customers wonder, “How did I ever live without Coupang?” Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Litigation & Investigations Lawyer to oversee our legal disputes and lead internal investigation projects. This role focuses on managing general civil and criminal litigation (with an emphasis on IPR, consumer disputes, and labor laws), conducting sensitive internal investigations (including fraud, workplace harassment/bullying, and trade secret leaks), and providing general commercial contract support. What You Will Do Litigation Management: Manage and handle civil and criminal litigation cases, focusing on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), consumer protection disputes, and labor disputes. Partner with outside counsel when necessary. Internal Investigations: Lead and execute corporate internal investigations, including corporate fraud/corruption, workplace misconduct (sexual harassment, workplace bullying), and trade secret misappropriation. Contract Review & Legal Advisory: Review and draft complex commercial contracts to mitigate legal risks and support business initiatives. Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Develop and improve internal investigation protocols and provide actionable advice to senior management on dispute prevention. Basic Qualifications Minimum 8+ years of experience in litigation. Minimum 4+ years of experience at a law firm is required. Strong knowledge of court and prosecutor's office procedures, with hands-on experience managing litigation matters and appearing in court. Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
