Navan is seeking an AI Integration Engineer to join our Business Technology team. You will focus on building and maintaining AI powered integrations and agents on top of our internal business systems, primarily using Workato and Python, with exposure to leading LLM platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.). This is a mid-level, hands on engineering role with room to grow into more ownership over time. What You’ll Do Build and maintain integrations between business systems (Salesforce, Gong, Snowflake, Slack, NetSuite, etc.) using Workato and Python Implement AI agents that: Enrich prospect and customer data from call transcripts and product usage Monitor deal health across the open pipeline and surface risk Track competitive mentions and correlate them with outcomes Develop MCP-style tools/connectors that safely expose business-system data and actions to LLMs Integrate with REST and SOAP APIs using JSON/XML, including tool-calling interfaces for agents Apply ETL techniques and data modeling approaches to design AI-ready and analytics-ready data flows Write SQL scripts to analyze datasets, debug pipelines, and evaluate agent performance Productionize POCs from platforms like Gemini Enterprise, OpenAI, and Anthropic into reliable workflows Document integrations, agents, and data contracts for reuse and maintenance Must Have 3–5 years of experience working with an integration platform (Workato strongly preferred if multiple platforms) 2+ years of experience with an object-oriented language (Python preferred) Experience integrating with REST & SOAP APIs using JSON/XML documents Experience with ETL techniques and data modeling approaches Experience writing SQL scripts to analyze datasets and troubleshoot issues Experience with at least one major SaaS business system (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar) Fluency in the English language Nice to Have Hands-on experience with LLM / AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, etc.) Experience building tools/agents that call external APIs or implement function-calling / MCP-style patterns Knowledge of data objects and APIs for Salesforce, Gong, Snowflake, Marketo, and/or Slack Familiarity with GTM / RevOps concepts (pipeline, forecast, win/loss, competitive intel) Interest in growing into a role with more design and ownership over AI and integration architecture Navan uses AI-assisted Automated Employment Decision Tool (Metaview) to assist with evaluating resumes against job qualifications for this role.
